The third Peter McKay Invitational Trophy competition will take place on Saturday 16th July - a mixed team guest day. The overriding sentiment behind the event is to have an annual fun day at the Club for the members and if you’ve been to the first two events you’ll know what I mean…

The event is not intended to be a fundraiser as such – although there will be a raffle to help our Juniors  - and the cost of entry will go towards the prizes, the BBQ and ensuring that everybody has a good time ! There will be team prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd and individual prizes on every hole.

The format will remain the same as last year with teams of four playing for the Trophy. Each team of 4 must have at least 2 members and at least 1 guest/non-member, i.e. you can have a team of 2 members and 2 guests or a team of 3 members and 1 guest.

Entry fee into the Competition is £15 for Members and £25 for guests. This includes the BBQ afterwards.

The format of the day means limiting the competition to 28 teams so we would urge you to let us know whether you would like to play as soon as possible as entry will be on a “first come first served” basis. We were oversubscribed last year.

We are not expecting everybody to put a team of four together and we will help put a member and/or guest together with other people so even if you do not have a guest we will try to fit you in.

The competition will be played off White/Red Tees - full handicap.

Players with non-active handicaps will play off a maximum of 18 handicap. Best three stableford scores on each hole to count.
