Regulations and guidelines for playing golf at Colne Valley Golf Club

After the Prime Ministers statement today, we can confirm that the Colne Valley Golf Club clubhouse will be closed, but the golf course will remain open. 


Regulations and guidelines for playing golf at Colne Valley Golf Club are changing by the hour and we are intent on making our golf club a safe place to play and exercise during this challenging time.  Please read our Rules and do your very best to abide by them.


Immediately upon arrival, please indicate to the Pro Shop staff that you are at the club.  We have set up a ‘safe zone’ in the Pro Shop.

Pins are disinfected regularly.  We urge all players to use a glove to pull their own ball. We have placed a sponge at the bottom of the hole to help 

Tee times will have 16-minute spacing from Monday 23rd March 2020

Please play in maximum of four keeping a safe social distance

On no account touch or remove any flagsticks

Bins and ball-washers are maintained as often as possible

Repair bunker sand using a combination of feet and club to the best of your ability

Our putting green flags and bunker rakes, ball-washers will or have been taken away

The green staff, when able, will still be at work but will not stop for chats etc

Members in the eclectic competition or offering a supplementary card should use the website or app to enter your score.  We will update via the computer. 

NB. We will keep the course open for general golf as much as possible but will only permit play from 7.30am.  The last tee off will be 2 hours before dusk.


Score cards must be collected from the Pro Shop and returned to the box supplied

Pro Shop is aiming to become cashless encouraging members and visitors to Pay Wave or use the EFT Machine for all fees payable

Take away coffee, soft drinks etc available


Cleaning and sanitising spray is placed in each toilet cubicle for your convenience. We encourage all patrons to use this spray with toilet paper (to flush) and the toilet brush to sanitise the toilet upon leaving the cubicle.

Showers are not in use but please remember to wash your hands.


All front clubhouse doors are locked.  The only doors open are the Pro Shop and Changing room doors
