Winter Lg Rd 5

The Winter League round 5 was played in difficult conditions - icy fairways and solid greens gave the large field of 38 teams challenges that many lived up to with some outstanding scoring. Winning the day where the high flying pairing of Chris and Ethan Richards who led the field by one shot with a nett 63. Their front nine consisted of 6 pars, 2 birdies - on the 4th and 6th and just the one bogey. More of a mixed bag for the back nine however they still bagged a further two birdies on the 12th and 18th holes. One shot adrift with a nett 64 where Jordan Lovric  and Tom Welch. 6 pars and three bogeys gave them a solid start out in 38 which they matched on the back nine and finished their round with a birdie on eighteen.

 

The table is led by Chris and Ethan Richards on 44 points with Russ Bell and Don Cutmore sitting 2nd with 38 points. Round six takes place on February 12th with the format being a better ball medal and round 7 only a week later on February 19th.
