Captains vs Vice Captains

On Sunday, on a crisp and cold morning, 58 members set off for a shotgun start to play the annual Captains vs Vice Captains Hambro Matchplay Competition, and the Captains were hoping to retain the trophy.  Unfortunately their hopes were dashed as they were well and truly beaten.

Afterwards, 60 members, family and friends sat down for a delicious Sunday lunch.

The Captains' Charity this year is East Anglia's Children's Hospices, EACH, and after the meal, John Skoyles, who is volunteer for the the Charity gave us a brief resume of their work and the financial cost.  

Both Roger and Karen thanked everyone for their support and were looking forward to an enjoyable year. 

Finally the trophy from the morning competition was awarded to Jane Tytler Lady Vice Captain.
